Kim has over 35 years experience in school based and private music education. She is an enthusiastic and engaged teacher with a passion for teaching children the gift of music in and is experienced with AMEB and Kodaly methods.
Beginning in-school work as Southside Christian College’s first general music teacher Kim developed their music program as the fledgling school grew and only left when it became clear that their demands outstripped her capacity. She developed a relationship with the company who took over the provision of music education to the school and has since worked in a number of schools for them.
Kim has guided whole families, children and parents alike throughout their musical careers recently starting to teach the daughters of one of her earliest students on the piano. These long-term relationships give her a great delight.
