Yedda So is a post graduate student from Hong Kong currently enrolled in the Master of Music program at The University of Queensland, under the tutelage of Mr. Shaun Brown (Baritone).
Yedda has studied piano for more than 10 years, passing the Grade 8 ABRSM piano examination. She is also an experienced choral singer, performing in both school and church choirs for more than 15 years.
Yedda began her classical vocal training in Hong Kong in 2011 and, under the tutelage of Ms. Grace Chiang (Soprano) and Ms. Tammy Ho (Soprano), gained a Distinction in the Grade 8 ABRSM singing examination.
Yedda has participated in many musical performances and competitions, winning awards in Composing, English Folksong, and Vocal Solo. As a member at the Anglican Little Singers of The Diocese of Eastern Kowloon (HK), she performed in Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Yunan Province (China).
In 2011 Yedda enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts degrees majoring in Music (Overseas Education) at the Huaqiao University. Under the tutelage of Ms. Zhou Yuanyuan (Soprano), Director of the Department of Art Practice, she studied piano and cello. She supported her 4 years of study with scholarships and by working as a choral conductor, choral coach and vocal coach. She also completed her music teaching internship in a secondary school in Hong Kong.
Since graduating in 2015, Yedda has worked as a private tutor in both vocal and keyboard, students’ ranging from preschool to adult, using English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. She also had few experiences of teaching students who have special needs.
