Emily started her piano training at the age of five. Two month later, she had her first piano showcase with an audience of more than a hundred people. She was awarded a distinction on her Associated Diploma (ATCL) from Trinity College London at the age of sixteen. During her schooling years, she also played the clarinet and was an active member of bands and orchestras.
Emily is currently completing her Bachelor of Education majoring in music at the University of Queensland. She has been teaching piano and theory for five years, and have developed a strong passion in music teaching. She has taught students of all ages from beginner children to advanced adults. She has successfully prepared her students for AMEB and Trinity examinations.
Emily believes all students have different learning styles, which she uses different pedagogical methods to cater for each students’ needs. Her goal is to provide her students the opportunity to explore the wonders of music, and make each lesson an engaging and meaningful experience.
